Based on the Audi R8 sports car and compliant with GT3 regulations, the Audi R8 LMS was developed in 2008. Its chassis was made of aluminum and it had a 5.2-liter V10 engine developing more than 500hp. The bodywork was modified and the power transmission went through the rear wheels. From 2009 onwards, this car was delivered to teams around the world and achieved many successes. Tamiya offers a superb RC replica of this car based on the TT-02 chassis.
