First built in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1929, the Dragon's sailing characteristics were so impressive that it quickly gained popularity worldwide, particularly in Europe. Over time, the Dragon was modified, so that today only the hull remains original. It became an Olympic class in 1948, after all dimensions were standardized by the Union Sportive Internationale (USI). Pleasant and easy to build, it makes an excellent model for beginners and is also recommended for racing.

All-wood construction using frames and stringers. The box contains all the laser-cut wooden parts and polished brass fittings.
The box also contains the sails and ballast to sail the boat.
