The USB flight/RC controller is powered directly by the PC. You don't need batteries for the controller, nor do you need to charge them. The controller comes with the throttle on the left (Mode 2 or Mode 4) and can be converted to a right-hand throttle (Mode 1 or Mode 3) using the included instructions.
