Construction kit for a category A3 free-flight glider, made entirely of balsa wood with fabric-covered wings and tail. An ideal introduction to classic construction techniques and interlining with plaster and paper for those who remember that some of the most important aircraft in history were made of wood – think the Wright Flyer, Bleriot XI, de Havilland Mosquito... Category A3 is a category of entry into free flight in the Czech Republic; you can think of it as a scaled-down version of the F1H/A1 class – the models are smaller and easier to build so you can conquer the skies right away. Our Goofy model is an excellent hand-thrown glider; the adjustable side tow hook also allows for power starts with a 25 m (82 ft) line as required in category A3.
The parts cut precisely with CNC, the full-size plan and the detailed instruction manual make assembly very simple; only basic model making tools (model cutter, scissors, pins, fine brush), glue (UHU-Hart, medium CA, etc.) and adhesive & shrink plaster are required.
Designed and manufactured in the Czech Republic.
Kit Contents: CNC cut balsa parts for fuselage, wing and tail, hardwood rods, sandpaper, ballast, bungee, adjustable side tow hook, white interfacing paper, stickers, full size construction plan and instruction manual.
