Get ready for over 20 hours of kit-building fun. The die-cast body, real rubber tires, and plastic details of this Lamborghini Aventador are all pre-decorated, so all you have to do is pick up these 794 pieces and put them together!
The iconic bright yellow of the Gaillo Orion is the most eye-catching finish. Every detail of the original car has been faithfully reproduced, including the scissor doors and hidden door handles, the Y-shaped daytime running lights, and even the nuances of the powerful V12 engine.
Measuring 60 cm long, 29 cm wide and 15 cm high, this model should be at the center of any display stand once you have finished making it.
The Lamborghini Aventador is surely the first car that comes to mind when you think of supercars. Filippo Perini designed this powerful machine with military aviation in mind. You can see the influence of the F-117 Stealth Fighter in the geometric shape, the wide hexagonal air intake that looks like it could suck in a small dog, and the raked windshield, which leaves just enough room for the driver and passenger.
Inside are military-grade buttons and switches, including a small red switch above the power button. It's exactly like the locking device on fighter jets to prevent accidental firing. Factor in the Lamborghini Aventador's 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration in 2.9 seconds and its F1-style pushrod suspension design, and you have a supercar capable of immense power, easily reaching a top speed of 134 mph (217 km/h).
Lamborghini produced around 750 examples of this highly desirable car each year, adding to its luxurious and exclusive character. It was released just weeks before the beatification of Pope John Paul II, in what may or may not have been a deliberate marketing move. Production ended in 2022, but we're bringing it back as a 1:8 scale model, making it the only new Lamborghini Aventador you'll get in 2023.
