How to choose an airbrush for an RC car body

An RC car body needs an airbrush that can cover broad surfaces while remaining precise around masks and small parts.
A versatile setup
A gravity-feed dual-action airbrush with a 0.3 to 0.5 mm nozzle is a useful all-round choice. Larger nozzles help with broad coats and reduce the number of passes on large bodies.
Pressure and thinning
Adjust pressure to the paint and nozzle. Test on scrap plastic: the coat should be smooth without grain or runs. Always check paint compatibility with the body material and clear coat.
Cleaning
Rinse the cup and paint path between colours. At the end of the session, clean only the parts needed and protect the needle. A clean airbrush produces a more consistent coat.
