The T2M Pirate XT-6 V4 T4975V4 is a 1/6 scale electric RTR (Ready-to-Run) radio-controlled racing truck. This large 4x4 off-road model combines a brushless motor compatible with 4S LiPo batteries, a three-differential all-wheel-drive system, and an aluminum chassis designed to handle soft or uneven surfaces. Delivered with its radio control pre-installed, it provides a complete base for large-scale off-road RC driving.

The RTR version, for Ready To Run , refers to a vehicle that is assembled and equipped with its main electronics. The Pirate XT-6 V4 thus comes with its motor, speed controller, steering servo, radio system, and painted and decorated body. A suitable power supply, a LiPo charger, and transmitter batteries are still required for operation.

A 4x4 architecture designed for off-road use

The Pirate XT-6 V4 features all-wheel drive mounted on ball bearings. Its three precision differentials with steel bevel gears distribute power between the front and rear wheels, allowing each axle to operate at the necessary speed difference when cornering. This design is particularly well-suited to an RC racing truck, also known as a truggy, a format that combines the ground clearance and large wheels of an off-road model with a truck body.

The main chassis is made of 4mm thick 6061 T6 aluminum on this 4S version. It is reinforced with 10mm diameter aluminum tubes at the front and rear. Heat-treated steel CVD driveshafts transmit torque to the wheels. High ABS side protection bars help limit debris from being thrown up towards the engine and bodywork when driving on dirt or gravel.

Suspension, steering and stability

The four independent wheels work with 20mm Big Bore hydraulic shock absorbers . Their spring preload is adjustable, allowing the model's ride height to be adapted to the road surface or the load carried. Front and rear anti-roll bars complete the suspension. The Pirate XT-6 V4 also features anti-roll wheels.

Steering is handled by a metal-gear servo rated at 15 kg . Front toe-in is adjustable via reverse-threaded tie rods, a practical solution for making adjustments without removing the ball joints. The adjustable motor mount with heat sink allows for precise motor positioning within the transmission.

Brushless motor and 4S power supply

Propulsion is provided by a 3674 2950KV brushless motor paired with a 120A speed controller , cooled by a 40mm fan. In an electric RC model, the speed controller manages motor speed and braking, while the brushless motor converts battery power into motion using brushless operation.

This version is designed for a 4S LiPo battery, obtained using two 2S LiPo batteries . T2M recommends two 2S 5000mAh, 50C batteries with Dean connectors. Using LiPo batteries requires a compatible LiPo charger and adherence to the charging, balancing, and storage guidelines specific to this technology.

2.4 GHz radio equipment

The T2M Pirate XT-6 V4 comes with a pre-installed 2.4 GHz 3-channel radio control system. This frequency band is commonly used in RC modeling for vehicle control. The receiver is housed in a protective casing. The system includes a failsafe function, designed to automatically shut down the vehicle if the radio link is lost. The transmitter requires four 1.5V AA batteries.

Wheels, bodywork and 1/6 scale

The polycarbonate body comes painted and decorated. The Pirate XT-6 V4 is fitted with Hi-Grip tires mounted on 17mm hexes. The wheels measure 160 x 78mm , consistent with the imposing size of this 1/6 scale model.
