Opel Kadett GT/E MB-01 Kit 1/10 Tamiya

The Opel Kadett GT/E launched in 1975 was a top-of-the-line version of the Opel Kadett, a car that enjoyed great popularity in Europe in the 1970s. The GT/E had a 2-door coupe body, a top-of-the-line 1.9-liter engine, and beefed-up suspension; the Opel Eurohändler factory team, satellite teams and privateers competed in rally races with modified versions of this car, and in 1976 it achieved second place in the constructors' championship in world rally races. This R/C assembly kit model recreates the car in 1:10 scale, with a polycarbonate body capturing the classic lines of the car.

The MB-01 chassis
The compact MB-01 2WD chassis offers a choice of three wheelbase types and a front- or rear-wheel drive system. This model uses a mid-engine and rear-wheel drive configuration. The 4-wheel double wishbone suspension features a symmetrical structure and friction shock absorbers. Unified sections such as the motor mount, final gears, and suspension facilitate assembly and efficient maintenance. In addition, without removing the battery, motor and R/C equipment from the center frame, simply change the attachment directions of the final gears and steering linkage to switch between front-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive; The low or high engine position can be chosen for rear-wheel drive cars.

• Gear ratio: 5.83:1 (with the 29T sprocket included in the kit).
