The FTX Mk2RS FTX5470BK is a 1/10 scale 4WD brushless RTR RC rally car with a black body inspired by classic rallies. It combines a 3652 4000KV motor, a Hobbywing 60A ESC compatible with 2S and 3S LiPo batteries, a three-differential metal transmission, and working LED lighting.

The FTX Mk2RS FTX5470BK is a 1/10 scale radio-controlled rally car, delivered fully assembled in RTR format with a pre-painted and decorated black body. Its semi-scale style is inspired by the world of 1970s and 1980s rally cars, while its 4WD chassis, brushless motor, and aluminum components are designed for fast and adjustable handling on suitable RC rally surfaces.
The model is equipped with an Etronix 2.4 GHz radio system, an Etronix 3652 4000KV brushless motor, a Hobbywing WP-10BL60 60A ESC, and an Etronix 9 kg metal-gear steering servo. The ESC has a Deans/T-Plug connector and accepts 2S and 3S LiPo batteries in the Shorty format. A brushless motor provides propulsion for the model, with an electronic speed controller managing acceleration, braking, and motor power.
A 4WD rally chassis designed to be tuned
The Mk2RS is built on a 2.5 mm aluminum main chassis, complemented by side protection panels. Its 4WD system uses three metal bevel gear differentials, positioned at the front, center, and rear. This architecture distributes power between the axles and helps maintain consistent handling when grip conditions vary.
The transmission also features sealed ball bearings with rubber seals, CVA universal joints at the front, and internal chassis protection. This assembly aims to limit the intrusion of debris around the mechanical components when driving on dusty or loose surfaces.
The independent double wishbone suspension is fully adjustable via reverse-threaded tie rods. The adjustable shocks, made of hard-anodized CNC-machined aluminum, are oil-filled. The front and rear shock towers, as well as the servo mount, are made of carbon fiber. The wishbone mounts, center differential and motor mounts, servo mount, and steering linkage are also made of CNC-machined aluminum.
Standard equipment and rally finish
The semi-scale rally body comes painted and decorated. It incorporates a functional LED lighting system including headlights, taillights, and front fog lights. These elements enhance the scale appearance of the car while maintaining a platform dedicated to RC driving.
The wheels are fitted with low-profile gravel tires measuring 72 x 25 mm. The steering system features a CNC-machined aluminum rod and a bearing-mounted assembly. A foam front bumper is installed to protect the front of the model.
Usage and power supply
The FTX Mk2RS comes fully assembled with its propulsion electronics, radio, and servo installed. To run, it requires a 2S or 3S Shorty LiPo battery compatible with its Deans/T-Plug connector, a LiPo charger with balancing, and four AA batteries. The choice between a 2S and 3S battery allows the use of both power options supported by the included speed controller.
Before each use, it is recommended to check that the wheels are properly tightened, the steering is functioning correctly, the transmission is in good condition, and the battery is charged. A LiPo battery must be charged with a suitable charger and using its balance connector.
